North Star · the sovereign fabric

Everything you run,
bound into one you own.

Your files, your questions, your compute — running on your own devices at a light bulb’s worth of power each. North Star is the sovereign fabric that binds them into one: it answers as one, it doesn’t go dark when a node does, and it reaches across your sites — all provable, and nothing ever leaves your ground.

See how it binds
What North Star is
Not another device. The fabric that binds them.
Every device you run the stack on becomes a node. North Star binds your nodes into one sovereign whole:
🧮

Answers as one

Ask once; a signed answer comes back from across your nodes — you never think about which one holds what.

🔌

Never goes dark

A node can drop and another keeps answering. Your data center has no single point of failure.

🌐

Reaches across your sites

Home, office, a truck, a rooftop — one fabric, one provable whole, and nothing leaves your ground.

Already real: a signed answer that spans two separate machines — and “take one offline, the other still answers” — is a live demo you can try.
A rack, or a light bulb
The same data-work — search, analytics, action, proof. One needs a room. The other needs an outlet.
🖥️
A data-center rack
5,000–15,000 watts
  • ✗ a dedicated cooling system
  • ✗ a room, racks, raised floor
  • ✗ a colo or grid-power contract
  • ✗ a monthly invoice, forever
vs
💡
A North Star node
35–65 watts — a light bulb
  • ✓ no cooling — runs at room temperature
  • ✓ sits on a shelf
  • ✓ a wall outlet — or a solar panel
  • ✓ plug it in. That’s the bill.
About a hundred times less power, and none of the cooling — for the same data-work. Only one of them needs a data center. The other one is a light bulb.
Two ways to add a node
Run it on your own hardware, or let us build the node.
Every node on your fabric runs the same stack — sealed, signed, provable. You choose how each one gets there.
Option 1 · the software

Run it on hardware you already own

License the stack and run it on your own box or instance — on hardware we’ve reviewed and authorized (integrity and safety are set at install; self-install isn’t offered). Program to it, not into it: standard APIs in, provable answers out, nothing of ours to import.

Option 2 · North Star

We build the machine too

A sealed server stack you plug in and own — nothing to rent, no cloud bill, no data leaving. Designed by us, delivered ready to run, in two builds:

North Star grid
Plug into any wall outlet. Sits on a shelf, no cooling, no contract.
North Star Solar off-grid
Solar plus a battery in every node — your roof becomes infrastructure, running day and night, off the grid.
North Star Solar
Your roof stops being an energy asset — and becomes an infrastructure asset.
The same stack, powered by the sun. Your cold data stays home on a couple of watts; a tiny slice is worked to make the whole archive live — searchable, computed, acted-on, provable — on power your panels already make.
☀️

Solar is the server

Each node runs on the power a panel already makes — answering and proving over whole archives, with the data in its owner’s hands. No grid contract, no cloud bill.

🔌

Fueled by what you waste

Every array throws energy away — the clipped midday peak, the curtailed surplus. A node is a flexible load that eats exactly that and stores it in its own battery — so the same energy that was lost now runs it through the night.

🔋

Never goes dark

Each node is designed with about a day of battery — solar by day, battery by night. Through storms, nights and outages, it stays up. No grid, no cloud, no blackout.

On any build

It doesn’t just hold your data — it answers it.

Ask a question and get a cited answer — the exact source record and a signed receipt, the numbers computed and proven — on your own node. Provable answers, on your own ground. That’s why a node here is worth far more than storage alone.

Deploying at scale? Build the network with us.

If you install roofs or run sites at scale, North Star grows into a shared fabric — roof by roof, market by market. That’s a partnership, not a purchase; the terms are set per engagement. If that’s you, let’s talk.

North Star · grid

Any outlet

Power
35–65 watts from any wall outlet. No cooling — runs at room temperature.
Form
Sits on a shelf. No GPU, no rack, no data-center anything.
Uptime
Always on; across several nodes, one keeps answering if another goes dark.
North Star Solar · off-grid

The sun, day and night

Power
Solar by day; a battery in every node carries about a day of runtime through the night.
Energy
Harvests the energy your panels waste — the clipped peak, the curtailed surplus.
Independence
No grid, no cloud, no contract. Runs fully disconnected.
What it is: your data’s live brain — search, analytics, action, proof, all on your own data, all provable, all included and sealed. What it isn’t: a GPU training rig or a general server for other software. It does a data center’s work on your data — not everything a data center can do.

Own the machine and the data.
